Introduction

Welcome to Sundarban Mondal Travels, operated by Mr. Hiranmoy Mondal. These Terms and Conditions apply to all our valued travelers who book tours and services with us. By confirming a booking or participating in any of our Sundarban tour packages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms. Our goal is to ensure a transparent, safe, and enjoyable travel experience for every guest.

Eligibility to Book

  • Guests must be 18 years or older to book a tour.

  • Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

  • A valid government photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, PAN) is mandatory for every guest.

  • Foreign nationals must carry a valid passport and visa for forest permit approval.

Booking Policy

  • Bookings should ideally be made at least one day before travel.

  • Last-minute bookings may be accepted if hotel rooms and boat seats are available.

  • Booking can be done via:

    • Office Visit

    • Phone Call / WhatsApp

  • A physical bill/invoice or digital copy will be provided as confirmation.

Payment Terms

  • A minimum advance of ₹1,000 per person is required to confirm booking.

  • The remaining balance must be paid before the journey starts.

  • Accepted payment methods: Cash, UPI, Bank Transfer.

  • Guests will receive a receipt/invoice for all payments.

Tour Package Inclusions

All Sundarban tour packages include:

  • Freshly prepared meals (veg & non-veg).

  • Seasonal dishes like Hilsa (during Hilsa Festival) or Bhetki, Pabda, etc.

  • Private hotel rooms (we do not allow strangers to share rooms).

  • Boat safari with government-licensed boat and guide.

  • Cultural programs like Jhumur Dance and Baul Song (on multi-day tours).

Tour Package Exclusions

The following are not included in packages:

  • Personal expenses such as camera fees, alcohol, medical costs, snacks, and drinks.

  • Extra transport charges (e.g., Kolkata pickup/drop available at additional cost).

  • Any services not mentioned in the inclusions list.

Safety & Conduct Rules

  • Guests must strictly follow forest department rules.

  • Not allowed: plastic items, alcohol, drugs, loud music, or littering.

  • Guests must follow instructions from the tour manager and guides at all times.

  • Misconduct, harassment, or undisciplined behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the tour without refund.

Wildlife Sightings & Travel Risks

  • Wildlife sightings (tiger, crocodile, deer, birds, etc.) are not guaranteed.

  • Tiger sightings are extremely rare. Guests should keep expectations realistic.

  • Tours may be affected by weather, tides, government restrictions, or strikes.

  • Sundarban Mondal Travels is not liable for delays, cancellations, or inconveniences caused by natural calamities or unforeseen circumstances.

Force Majeure

  • In case of cyclones, floods, government restrictions, or other natural calamities, tours may be rescheduled.

  • Refunds are not provided, but guests may use their booking for a future tour.

Guest Responsibilities

  • Guests must carry a valid ID proof for permits.

  • Report at the starting point (Canning or Godkhali) on time. The journey will not wait for late arrivals.

  • Carry cash as there are no ATMs in the Sundarbans after Gosaba.

  • Guests are responsible for their personal belongings.

Health & Fitness

  • Guests must disclose any medical conditions before booking.

  • We provide basic first aid and medicines during tours.

  • Sundarban Mondal Travels is not responsible for emergencies arising from pre-existing health conditions.

Use of Photos & Media

  • Photos and videos taken by our team during tours may be used for promotional purposes.

  • Guests who do not wish to be featured must inform us in writing before the tour.

  • Guests are free to tag us on social media and share their experiences.
